I don’t do the waiting

In my personal experience, being in a state of waiting is the most boring feeling and activity in life. That’s why I adopted this attitude of not doing the waiting and wanted to share it with you.

People are waiting their whole life to get promoted, to get another, to say “I love you” to the person they like, etc.

I would like to share my first sad experience with waiting. It occurred after I had spent five years studying Japanese and finally passed the highest level, the level 1 certificate. I was overjoyed and excited, and I remember celebrating with my friends. However, a day or two later, I had an internal conversation with myself and asked, “Is this it?” I had been waiting for five years for this piece of paper, and my excitement and joy lasted only a day or two.

At that moment, I realized that I should have enjoyed the journey instead of waiting to achieve the result before allowing myself to be happy. In other words, I should have focused on enjoying the journey rather than putting myself into a waiting state to achieve a result.

There is something stressful about waiting. Most people dislike waiting in line, waiting for red lights to turn green, and waiting for deliveries. Despite the technology that surrounds us, we are still trying to reduce waiting times to get things done. This can put added stress on our service providers. For example, doctors have to deal with more patients, waiters have to bring us our food faster, and delivery people have to make faster deliveries.

A few weeks ago, I had a phone conversation with one of my clients. She was worried about not receiving her visa to stay in New York. If she did not receive it, she would have had to change all of her plans.

I asked her “since you can’t do anything about the situation, is it useful to worry?” Is it useful to remain in this waiting state? She answered no.

Then I asked her, “what would happen if you don’t get your visa, she answered that she would simply execute her plan B she had an alternative.

So I asked her, why are you putting yourself in a waiting state? Continue to do what you’re doing until you get the response, and be extremely cheerful about getting your visa because you have it already. So I advised her to give up the waiting because the waiting will take care of itself.

In life, there are a lot of tasks that require waiting, waiting for someone to pick up the phone, waiting to get an answer from that email, waiting for the eggs to be cooked in the deli, waiting for the paycheck, waiting for the answer from an interview, etc.,

All this waiting is unnecessary because you don’t need to do the waiting; remember that the waiting will always take care of itself.

The don’t wait list:

  1. Don’t wait for the weekend to enjoy your life; enjoy what you’re doing now.
  2. Don’t wait till you have a life partner to be happy, be happy with yourself now, and the right life partner will show up when you are being happy.

Everybody should have a don’t wait waiting list on their system, with due dates and follow-up tasks in case the waiting time is more than what it should be, time will take care of moving toward the due date, so you don’t need to do the waiting.
